A Bitcoin wallet believed to be associated with Trump Media has transferred a substantial amount of BTC to Crypto.com, according to blockchain data monitored by Arkham. The transaction has renewed speculation about whether the company is considering reducing its cryptocurrency holdings.
Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, reportedly moved 4,259 BTC worth approximately $434 million to Crypto.com in two separate transactions at 02:17 UTC. Arkham data showed that 2,140 BTC and another 2,119 BTC were sent from wallets labeled “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral” to an address identified as belonging to Crypto.com.
The first transfer involved 2,140.03 BTC, followed by a second transaction of 2,119.31 BTC to the same destination.
The timing of the transfers has attracted particular attention.
According to Trump Media’s second-quarter financial disclosure, the company had pledged 4,260.73 BTC as collateral for its convertible notes as of June 30. The loan agreement restricted withdrawals or distributions involving those assets. Although Arkham’s wallet labels appear consistent with this arrangement, the available blockchain data does not clarify the reason behind the latest movement.
Trump Media is also approaching a significant debt-related deadline. Its November 2 securities filing disclosed that holders of its convertible notes could demand cash repayment on November 30. If all eligible investors exercise this option, the company could face a repayment obligation of approximately $1 billion.
The filing warned that Trump Media might need to liquidate Bitcoin or other digital assets to finance the repurchases if refinancing options and alternative funding measures prove inadequate.
The latest transfer represents approximately 30% of the 14,139 BTC Trump Media previously reported holding, including pledged assets, as of July 31. However, that figure comes from an earlier disclosure and does not establish that the company’s current Bitcoin reserves have declined.
CoinDesk contacted Trump Media to request clarification about the transactions and its cryptocurrency holdings but had not received a response at the time of publication.
Bitcoin Transfer Does Not Necessarily Signal a Sale
Large Bitcoin transfers to cryptocurrency exchanges frequently attract speculation about potential selling activity. However, an on-chain transaction alone does not confirm that an investor intends to liquidate its holdings.
Nevertheless, the size of Trump Media’s latest movement has drawn attention from blockchain monitoring accounts and market observers on X.
Blockchain tracking account EyeOnChain questioned whether the transfer could signal the beginning of a Bitcoin sell-off. However, it cautioned that sending BTC to an exchange or custody provider does not automatically indicate a sale, as the movement could also involve storage arrangements or other operational requirements.
The account added that a transfer involving hundreds of millions of dollars in Bitcoin was significant enough to attract market attention.
Previous transactions involving Trump Media-linked wallets have also involved substantial amounts of Bitcoin being transferred to Crypto.com for purposes other than selling.
In May 2026, wallets associated with Trump Media transferred approximately 2,650 BTC, valued at around $205 million, to the exchange. At the time, a company spokesperson confirmed that the Bitcoin had been transferred but not sold, describing the transaction as part of its broader trading strategy.
Another transfer occurred in early August 2026, when approximately 2,628 BTC worth $165 million was moved to the same platform. Trump Media subsequently explained that the transaction was related to custody management rather than a liquidation.
Crypto.com has been one of the company’s custody partners since Trump Media introduced its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
Consequently, the latest $434 million transfer does not independently confirm that Trump Media is preparing to sell its Bitcoin reserves. However, the upcoming convertible-note repayment deadline has increased interest in how the company manages its digital asset holdings and potential liquidity requirements.
