Chainlink is taking a significant step in fostering community participation by launching a new rewards program for LINK stakers. The initiative, known as Chainlink Staking Rewards, will provide token incentives to both new and historical LINK stakers, aiming to strengthen the ecosystem and encourage broader network participation.
In collaboration with decentralized data platform Space and Time (SXT), Chainlink will distribute a portion of SXT’s total token supply to eligible stakers. Space and Time, a project focused on leveraging zero-knowledge proofs for secure and decentralized data validation, has committed 4% of its total SXT supply—around 200 million tokens—to reward LINK stakers.
The first reward phase will kick off on May 8, with 100 million SXT tokens allocated for distribution among active and historical LINK stakers. The remaining 100 million tokens will be made available in future reward phases, with new LINK stakers eligible to participate as well.
This new program is designed to incentivize LINK staking, which plays a crucial role in securing the Chainlink network, while also providing an additional layer of rewards for the community. The Chainlink Staking Rewards program is expected to expand over time, with more partnerships and reward opportunities planned for the future.
While the partnership with Space and Time is the first phase, Chainlink is anticipating further collaborations with other ecosystem projects, providing additional rewards for LINK stakers and driving increased adoption of the network.
Details about upcoming reward phases and the expansion of the program will be shared as the initiative evolves.
