This marks the first week of Bitcoin purchases by the Michael Saylor-led company in roughly two months.
Strategy added 4,603 BTC last week for approximately $369.7 million, marking its first Bitcoin acquisition since late June. The company paid an average of $80,318 per coin.
According to a Monday morning press release, Strategy financed the purchase through the sale of $602.8 million worth of common stock. The remaining funds were used for $151.8 million in repurchases of the company’s STRC preferred shares and to strengthen its cash reserves.
Under Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, Strategy now holds 845,050 BTC acquired for a total of $63.73 billion, putting its average purchase price at $75,412 per Bitcoin.
MSTR shares were up 1.65% in premarket trading, while Bitcoin was around $78,400, slightly higher than its level late Friday.
