SharpLink, an Ethereum treasury firm, locks $170M in ETH on Linea.

SharpLink Stakes $170M ETH in Multi-Year Yield Strategy on Linea

SharpLink Gaming (SBET) has deployed $170 million in Ethereum (ETH $3,089.74) into a multi-year yield strategy on ConsenSys’ Linea network, moving from planning to execution for a program first announced late last year.

The strategy combines native Ethereum staking rewards with restaking via EigenCloud, as well as incentives from Linea and ether.fi, all under a qualified custodian structure through Anchorage Digital, SharpLink said in a post on X Thursday.

This deployment follows the firm’s October disclosure that it planned to allocate up to $200 million of ETH to Linea over multiple years. SharpLink framed the approach as an institutional version of a popular crypto-native trade: stacking multiple yield streams while retaining operational control.

Consensys-backed Linea is a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM), offering faster transactions at lower costs by batching them for verification on Ethereum mainnet. SharpLink said the combination creates an “enhanced yield” profile, boosting ETH productivity without relying on fully decentralized finance custody.

The announcement highlights a broader trend among crypto-linked public firms toward infrastructure- and yield-focused strategies rather than directional token exposure. SharpLink shares recently drew attention after Bernstein initiated coverage with an outperform rating, calling the firm an institutional gateway to Ethereum.
