DriveWealth is reportedly integrating Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin settlement infrastructure on the XRP Ledger into its brokerage platform, with an initial rollout planned for Europe and a potential expansion into the United States later. The companies announced their partnership on October 15, 2026.
DriveWealth supplies brokerage technology to fintech companies, digital wallet providers and financial institutions that offer customers access to U.S. markets. Its infrastructure supports investment services for more than 100 partners worldwide, potentially giving the RLUSD integration access to a broader distribution network.
However, the size of DriveWealth’s partner network does not necessarily indicate widespread adoption of RLUSD. The companies have not disclosed which partners will use the new infrastructure, whether any integrations are already operational or if the service will eventually become available across the entire network.
The immediate use case centers on funding investment accounts more efficiently. International investors can face banking delays and transfer cutoff times that affect how quickly money becomes available for trading. Stablecoin funding that can be converted into cash almost instantly could reduce dependence on traditional bank-transfer schedules.
Settlement, Payments and Custody Integration
The settlement arrangement will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, together with Ripple’s minting and burning capabilities. DriveWealth says clients will be able to fund accounts and manage collateral using stablecoins that can be converted into cash in near real time, potentially avoiding the delays associated with conventional bank wires.
The partnership also includes a separate payments integration using Ripple Payments. The system is intended to help DriveWealth’s global partners accept cross-border payments and simplify the movement of funds from international markets.
DriveWealth is additionally working with Ripple on digital-asset custody services in Europe, with plans to expand into other markets over time. The companies aim to move treasury and custody operations onto Ripple’s infrastructure, allowing clients to monitor dollar balances, stablecoins and cryptocurrencies in real time while transferring between different asset types.
Equity financing remains at an earlier stage. DriveWealth and Ripple Prime are exploring potential opportunities through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business. Unlike the settlement and payments integrations announced by the companies, this initiative remains exploratory.
Europe to Lead the DriveWealth and RLUSD Rollout
The companies plan to introduce the settlement service in Europe before pursuing a potential U.S. expansion. Digital-asset custody will also begin in Europe, with additional markets potentially added later. Ripple says its regulatory presence covers more than 85 licenses.
DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan explained the motivation behind the initiative, saying: “We’ve already enabled 24/5 trading; now we need the funding to match, so clients can move with the markets instead of waiting for them.”
The companies have not provided a launch date, transaction-volume targets or a confirmed list of participating partners. Further announcements will therefore be needed to establish when the integration becomes operational and how widely it will be adopted.
The partnership was scheduled to be discussed during a Ripple Swell fireside chat in New York City on Wednesday, October 28.
For RLUSD and the XRP Ledger, the agreement represents a potential expansion of stablecoin settlement infrastructure into brokerage and institutional financial services. Its eventual impact will depend on implementation, partner participation and actual usage rather than the size of DriveWealth’s existing network alone.
