Brave Wallet to Integrate Cardano Blockchain, Enabling ADA and Asset Management
Brave Wallet, the integrated crypto wallet within the privacy-centric Brave browser, is preparing to support the Cardano blockchain, allowing users to send, receive, and trade ADA ($0.81776) and other Cardano-native assets directly from the browser.
This enhancement is part of Brave’s strategy to broaden its multichain capabilities, adding Cardano to its existing support for networks like Ethereum and Solana. The update, announced by Input Output (IO), the development organization behind Cardano, will give Brave users the ability to access Cardano’s governance features, sign transactions, and manage their assets without the need for third-party browser extensions.
Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IO, highlighted the rollout as a key part of their mission to provide secure and private on-chain participation, aligning with Cardano’s evolution into the Voltaire era—a phase that emphasizes decentralized governance.
Additionally, this integration paves the way for future projects like Midnight, IO’s privacy-focused blockchain, which focuses on confidential smart contracts and enhanced data protection.
