U.S. spot XRP ETFs attracted $11.31 million in net inflows between October 5 and October 9, despite XRP declining from approximately $1.52 to $1.40 and briefly hitting a low of $1.32. The divergence between fund inflows and price performance raises a key question: can sustained ETF demand protect the $1.32–$1.38 support range, or does XRP need to recover the $1.50–$1.56 resistance zone to signal a stronger short-term trend?
Bitwise accounted for $10.55 million of the weekly inflows, contributing nearly the entire market-wide total. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ attracted another $4.10 million, while Canary Capital’s XRPC experienced $3.34 million in net outflows. Three of the five trading sessions recorded no net flows.
Without Bitwise’s contribution, the remaining funds collectively attracted only around $760,000 in net inflows. This highlights an important limitation of the 12-week inflow streak: although demand has continued, the latest figures suggest that investment activity remains heavily concentrated in one issuer. Upcoming weekly reports will help determine whether buying interest spreads across more funds or the streak continues to depend primarily on Bitwise.
XRP ETFs held approximately $1.57 billion in net assets, compared with around $1.8 billion in cumulative net inflows since their launch. The difference of roughly $230 million provides a broad indication of the gap between accumulated investor contributions and current fund asset values, although it is not a precise measure of investment losses.
XRP’s performance also contrasted with other cryptocurrency investment products. U.S. spot Bitcoin funds recorded $681 million in net outflows during the same week, while XRP was the only fund category among the cited Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP groups to finish with positive net flows. This relative strength is notable, but a single week of inflows does not prove that ETF demand can offset continued selling in the spot market.
Can XRP Buyers Protect the $1.32–$1.38 Support Range?
XRP began the week trading near $1.52 before ending Friday at approximately $1.40. The token briefly fell to $1.32 on October 8, leaving it with a weekly decline of around 7.3% based on its opening and closing prices. The move erased a significant portion of its earlier price gains.
The $1.32–$1.38 range now represents the immediate support area to watch. If XRP maintains this zone while ETF inflows remain positive, it could indicate that investors are buying during periods of weakness. However, a temporary rebound would not be enough to establish a lasting price floor. A decisive break below this range would suggest that fund inflows have been insufficient to prevent further technical weakness.
On the upside, resistance lies between $1.50 and $1.56. A sustained recovery above this range would provide stronger evidence of an improving short-term trend than a brief intraday move above the lower boundary. Until XRP reclaims this zone, positive ETF flows should be viewed as a supportive demand signal rather than confirmation of a price reversal.
Separate technical assessments of XRP’s support levels also examine potential downside scenarios around its current trading range.
Evernorth Introduces Another Listed Investment Route for XRP
Evernorth’s XRPN began trading on Nasdaq on Monday, October 12, providing investors with another listed vehicle for gaining exposure to XRP. According to the report, the vehicle holds approximately 473 million XRP. However, the extent to which this exposure translates into additional spot-market demand or influences XRP’s price remains uncertain.
This distinction is important when evaluating XRP’s near-term outlook. If the token holds its support range and ETF inflows remain positive across a broader group of issuers, the case for accumulation during price weakness would become stronger. Conversely, a breakdown below support or further concentration of inflows in a single fund would weaken the argument that institutional demand is establishing a reliable price floor.
For now, a sustained recovery through the $1.50–$1.56 resistance range remains the clearest threshold for confirming an improvement in XRP’s short-term trend. Evernorth’s substantial XRP holdings could represent an additional demand factor, but their direct impact on market prices has yet to be established.
