WisdomTree Launches Tokenized Private Credit Fund
WisdomTree has rolled out a new tokenized fund targeting private credit, offering low entry points and rapid liquidity for investors.
The WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Digital Fund (CRDT) tracks a basket of 35 publicly traded closed-end funds, business development companies, and real estate investment trusts, according to Bloomberg. Investors can get started with a minimum of $25, and the fund provides two-day redemptions.
The fund builds on WisdomTree’s 2021 ETF covering the same benchmark, the WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Fund. Private credit—lending conducted outside traditional banks—has expanded rapidly in recent years as investors seek higher yields.
“It’s really just about bringing the asset class to a whole universe of different investors,” said Will Peck, head of digital assets at WisdomTree.
WisdomTree has also launched tokenized vehicles for money market funds, fixed income, and equities, joining a broader trend among major asset managers. BlackRock offers a $2 billion tokenized money market fund, while Fidelity and VanEck have rolled out similar products on blockchain platforms.
Though still modest compared with ETFs and mutual funds, these tokenized offerings signal that traditional finance is increasingly embracing digital asset infrastructure.
