Prediction market platform Kalshi has launched its U.S. “Midterms Hub” as it aims to become a leading destination for election probability data ahead of this year’s midterm elections.
The newly introduced hub allows users to track expected outcomes for individual U.S. Senate and House races as the country prepares for the November elections, according to a press release issued Wednesday.
Kalshi said the Midterms Hub offers a real-time view of where traders are placing their positions and how market expectations are shifting. The company described it as a centralized resource for state and federal election forecasting, providing a snapshot of how each race is developing.
The platform’s projections are based on current market odds across individual contracts and a nationwide election map, Kalshi said.
The hub will also include polling averages, enabling users to compare prediction market expectations with traditional voter surveys. Additional features will include Federal Election Commission fundraising data for candidates, along with selected news coverage and analysis from multiple sources.
The launch comes shortly after reports that Kalshi Inc. is pursuing regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to expand its perpetual contract offerings beyond cryptocurrency markets.
According to Bloomberg, the company is seeking permission to offer perpetual-style trading products tied to precious metals, including gold, silver, and platinum.
The Midterms Hub represents Kalshi’s latest effort to strengthen its role in political prediction markets ahead of the November elections. In May, the company introduced the “American Power Index,” which it described as a political equivalent of the S&P 500 designed to track shifts in party performance.
Kalshi reported $31 billion in total notional trading volume in June, representing more than a 70% increase from May. Sports-related contracts accounted for roughly 85% of activity, with the company telling CoinDesk that World Cup-related markets generated $22.42 billion in volume.
The new election hub arrives about a month after reports emerged that Kalshi was seeking fresh funding at a valuation of approximately $40 billion, nearly double the $22 billion valuation targeted in its previous financing round.
