GraFun Expands to TON Network, Simplifying Memecoin Creation Directly in Telegram

GraFun, a leading platform for creating memecoins, is extending its reach to the TON Network, marking its third blockchain integration after Ethereum and BNB Chain. This expansion aims to attract new users, increase liquidity for memecoin issuances, and boost GraFun’s presence in the crypto market.

With the integration of TON, GraFun looks to make memecoin creation even more accessible. “We are close to enabling the ability to create and trade memecoins directly within Telegram, one of the world’s most widely used messaging platforms,” a GraFun developer told CoinDesk via Telegram. “After successfully launching 14,000 memecoins and generating over $450 million in trading volume on BNB Chain, we’re now simplifying the process for users to create memecoins right inside Telegram.”

TON, with over $350 million in assets across its various platforms, offers a strong base for GraFun’s new expansion.

Additionally, a source familiar with GraFun’s plans hinted that a GraFun token might be introduced in the future, based on user activity, though the development team has not confirmed these details.

GraFun’s innovative “Fair Curve” model, which reduces the risk of rug pulls and price manipulation, has gained attention for providing a fairer process for token issuances. Memecoin giant Floki owns more than 40% of GraFun, with other investors like DWF Labs also backing the platform.

The “Fair Curve” model has been adopted by other successful memecoin launchpads, such as Pump on Solana and Tron’s Sun Pump, which have also aimed to create more secure and equitable token launches.
