Crypto Rebounds After Fed Rate Hike as Bulls Return: Week Ahead

Here’s a look at the major developments expected during the week beginning Sept. 21.

Crypto markets have started the week on a stronger footing, with bitcoin approaching the $84,000 level. For now, the market appears to be absorbing the hawkish reaction to last week’s Federal Reserve rate hike, which lifted the benchmark target rate to 4.00%.

The week’s macroeconomic focus will turn to U.S. jobless claims, new home sales and durable goods data due around the middle of the week. Investors will also continue assessing the global interest-rate outlook following recent policy decisions by the Bank of Japan and Bank of England.

In crypto market structure, a key development will be the SEC’s launch of its framework for a pilot program involving tokenized securities.
