CNN Plans to Incorporate Kalshi’s Prediction Markets Throughout Its Reporting

CNN has struck a new partnership with prediction market platform Kalshi, bringing real-time, market-implied probabilities into the network’s newsroom and introducing a dedicated ticker for segments that rely on event-based forecasting.

Revealed on Tuesday (U.S. time), the deal gives CNN access to Kalshi’s live data covering political, economic, and cultural events—an expansion that highlights growing media interest in probability-driven analysis. Under the agreement, Kalshi’s forecasts will be woven into CNN’s broadcasts and editorial workflows, with a live on-screen ticker set to display constantly updated market odds during relevant coverage.

The integration will be guided by Harry Enten, CNN’s chief data analyst, who is known for his polling and probability reporting. Kalshi said Enten will draw on the platform’s market signals as an added layer of insight when assessing the likelihood of upcoming political and cultural developments.

CNN’s editorial, data, and production teams will also tap into Kalshi’s real-time feeds to enhance graphics, strengthen context in reporting, and build storylines around shifting market expectations in major U.S. news cycles.

The partnership comes on the heels of Kalshi’s $1 billion funding round, which valued the event-contract marketplace at $11 billion.
