CME Clarifies XRP, SOL Futures Leak as an Error, No Actions Taken So Far.

CME Clarifies XRP and Solana Futures Leak Was Mistake, No Futures Listings Confirmed

A CME spokesperson confirmed that a recent leak on their website, which showed futures contracts for XRP (XRP) and Solana (SOL) potentially launching on Feb. 10, was due to an error.

“A beta page from our website was released in error earlier today,” the spokesperson explained. “The page contains mock-ups as part of our testing environment. No decisions have been made regarding the launch of XRP or SOL futures contracts.”

The leak, which was shared via a screenshot on X (formerly Twitter), sparked significant speculation about a futures listing for both cryptocurrencies. Following the post, XRP and SOL saw an uptick of up to 3%, before both tokens retraced some of their gains.

Despite the excitement, CME’s clarification has clarified that no official announcement regarding the futures contracts for XRP or SOL has been made, and any potential listing remains unconfirmed.
