Brian Armstrong: Bitcoin May Reach $1M Within the Decade

Brian Armstrong Sees Bitcoin Hitting $1M by 2030, Joining Dorsey and Ark in Ultra-Bullish Outlook

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has added his voice to a growing list of prominent crypto advocates predicting a parabolic rise in bitcoin’s value by the end of the decade.

“I think we’ll see $1 million per bitcoin by 2030,” Armstrong wrote on X this week, promoting his appearance on the Cheeky Pint podcast. The forecast is particularly noteworthy given Armstrong’s usual reluctance to offer public price targets.

Armstrong’s call aligns with similar predictions from Block co-founder Jack Dorsey, who has also pointed to the $1 million level by 2030, and Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood. Ark recently updated its own projection, stating bitcoin could reach as high as $3.8 million within the same time frame due to growing institutional interest.

The predictions come amid strong performance for the leading cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is currently trading near $114,400, up 22% year-to-date, after recently hitting a record high above $124,000. Supporters argue the rally underscores bitcoin’s emergence as both a hedge against inflation and a digital alternative to gold.

Other analysts are projecting large gains on shorter timeframes. SkyBridge Capital’s Anthony Scaramucci said in a recent CNBC interview that bitcoin could surge to $180,000–$200,000 in the next five months, adding that his estimate may still be on the conservative side.
