Bitdeer Scales Mining Operations, Ships Record SEALMINER A2 Units in Global Push
Bitdeer (BTDR), a major player in the bitcoin mining space, mined 196 BTC in May, marking an 18% monthly increase as it ramps up both self-mining and hardware distribution efforts.
The Singapore-based firm boosted its self-mining capacity to 13.6 EH/s, driven by the energization of 3.9 EH/s worth of SEALMINER A1 rigs and a steady deployment of the new SEALMINER A2 models. It also shipped 1.6 EH/s worth of A2 miners to clients, signaling strong demand for its in-house equipment.
Infrastructure expansion is moving swiftly:
- In Norway, 70 MW of a 175 MW facility in Tydal is already live.
- Bhutan’s Jigmeling site has begun activation, with a goal of hitting 500 MW.
- A 221 MW site in Ohio is progressing in phases.
- Projects in Ethiopia and Alberta, Canada, are underway, with a power plant planned in Alberta to support mining.
Additionally, Tether injected $50 million into Bitdeer in May through warrant execution, acquiring over 5 million shares. Bitdeer aims to reach 40 EH/s in self-mining capacity by October, bolstering its position as a global mining heavyweight.
