ARB Token Rallies as PayPal Lists Arbitrum for $850M PYUSD Stablecoin
Arbitrum’s native token, ARB, surged on Wednesday following PayPal’s update that added Arbitrum to the list of supported blockchains for its $850 million PYUSD stablecoin.
PayPal’s revised cryptocurrency terms now include Arbitrum alongside Ethereum and Solana—the two networks where PYUSD is currently live. The stablecoin, issued by Paxos, operates across these chains to provide users with multiple options.
In the past 24 hours, ARB gained 7.7%, outpacing major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Neither PayPal nor Paxos have issued an official statement confirming the expansion, but the update suggests growing adoption of Arbitrum within mainstream payment systems.
Notably, Stellar (XLM), which PayPal recently announced as another PYUSD platform, wasn’t included in this update.
Meanwhile, Robinhood has also selected Arbitrum as its blockchain partner for launching tokenized equity products, further highlighting the network’s rising profile.
