Eric Trump to Headline BTC Asia in Hong Kong Amid City’s Crypto Push

Eric Trump is set to speak at BTC Asia this August in Hong Kong, marking another high-profile appearance on the crypto conference circuit following his participation at CoinDesk’s Consensus event in Toronto earlier this year.

His presence comes as Hong Kong continues to position itself as a global hub for digital assets. The city has made significant regulatory progress, with its Legislative Council (LegCo) pushing ahead with crypto-friendly policies—including comprehensive stablecoin rules—well ahead of similar legislation in the United States. In contrast, the U.S. only recently passed its first crypto-focused bill, known as the GENIUS Act.

At Consensus Toronto, Trump described bitcoin as “digital gold” and praised its superior liquidity compared to traditional assets like real estate. He also expressed support for the broader crypto industry, suggesting it has been unfairly targeted under President Joe Biden’s administration—much like his father, Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. continues to make rounds at Web3 events and is scheduled to speak at Korea Blockchain Week this September.

BTC Asia is scheduled to take place in Hong Kong from August 28–29. CoinDesk’s Consensus conference will return to the city in February 2026.
