JPMorgan Expands Solana Access With Two Tokenized Money Market Funds
JPMorgan Asset Management has brought two tokenized money market funds, MONY and JLTXX, to the Solana blockchain, giving eligible institutional investors another way to access onchain cash management products. Announced last night, the expansion allows qualified U.S. investors to access both funds through Morgan Money, the firm’s liquidity management and trading platform.
The addition of Solana broadens the blockchain networks supporting the funds as traditional financial institutions increasingly explore tokenization. The move also adds to Solana’s growing presence in institutional finance.
JPMorgan Brings MONY and JLTXX to Solana
The expansion includes two funds with distinct investment structures and objectives.
My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY), launched in December 2025, is a tokenized money market fund structured as a Rule 506(c) private placement. It offers eligible investors exposure to U.S. dollar-denominated yields.
The JPMorgan OnChain Liquidity–Token Money Market Fund (JLTXX), meanwhile, is a U.S.-registered government money market fund designed to serve stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act, the U.S. legislation governing stablecoins.
Investors can subscribe to and redeem fund shares through Morgan Money, with corresponding token balances delivered to their blockchain addresses. Access remains restricted by each fund’s eligibility criteria, so the Solana expansion does not make the products available to all retail investors.
Both funds initially launched on Ethereum, with Solana now providing an additional blockchain option. JPMorgan Asset Management reported $4.8 trillion in assets under management as of September 30, 2026.
Why JPMorgan Is Expanding Onto Solana
The move reflects the broader push to connect traditional financial products with blockchain-based infrastructure.
Tokenization converts representations of financial assets into digital tokens recorded on a blockchain. For money market funds, this approach can offer another method of recording and transferring ownership while linking conventional investment products to digital asset markets.
JPMorgan Asset Management says supporting multiple blockchains helps accommodate clients that operate across different networks.
Paul Przybylski, the firm’s global head of product for digital and tokenized assets, said the expansion allows stablecoin issuers and institutional investors to access the same funds across the blockchain networks they already use.
The development could further establish Solana as a platform for institutional financial applications, particularly if additional asset managers and liquidity providers introduce tokenized products on the network.
However, the launch does not automatically guarantee increased demand for SOL. Any effect on the token’s price will depend partly on the amount of activity generated by the funds and whether that activity creates additional demand for Solana’s native asset.
Could JPMorgan’s Expansion Lift SOL?
Solana is trading near $103, with a three-month base-case price target of $122.58. The outlook anticipates a potential recovery toward $147.09 by the end of 2026 as market conditions improve.
A more optimistic scenario places SOL at $250 by year-end, matching a forecast attributed to Standard Chartered. From a price of $103, that target would imply a gain of approximately 142%.
JPMorgan’s decision to bring tokenized funds to Solana strengthens the network’s institutional adoption narrative. Further participation from established financial firms could expand ecosystem activity and improve investor confidence in Solana’s role in tokenized finance.
Still, greater institutional involvement does not necessarily translate into immediate price appreciation. The long-term impact will depend on whether these initiatives generate sustained network usage and meaningful demand for SOL.
JPMorgan’s expansion represents another step toward integrating traditional finance with blockchain technology. Whether that progress supports a higher SOL valuation will also depend on broader cryptocurrency market conditions and investors’ willingness to take on risk.
