Crypto Week Ahead: CME Bitcoin Cash, Uniswap Futures and Global PMI Data

Here’s what investors and crypto market participants should watch during the week beginning October 19.

CME Group, one of the world’s largest derivatives exchanges, is scheduled to introduce futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) on Monday, subject to regulatory review. The offering is expected to include both standard and micro-sized contracts.

Following last week’s closely watched U.S. inflation releases, economic data from other major economies could provide additional clues about the direction of global markets this week.

Flash Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) readings for October are also due on Friday. These surveys track business activity across different economic sectors and provide a combined indicator of overall economic conditions.

Several major companies with ties to the cryptocurrency industry, including Tesla and CME Group, are also scheduled to report earnings. However, much of their business operations extend beyond the digital asset sector.
