U.S. Inflation and Coinbase-Deribit Move Take Center Stage in Crypto Week

Here’s a look at the key developments expected during the week beginning Sept. 7.

U.S. inflation figures are likely to be a major driver for crypto markets during the holiday-shortened week. Producer price data is due Thursday, followed by consumer price figures on Friday. Both reports will be among the last major inflation indicators available before the Federal Reserve’s September policy meeting.

The European Central Bank is also scheduled to announce its interest-rate decision this week, with the Bank of Russia set to follow. In the crypto sector, Coinbase plans to move the venue supporting perpetual-futures trading on its app and website from Coinbase International Exchange to Deribit, the derivatives platform it acquired in August 2025.

GameStop and bitcoin miner Canaan are also due to release quarterly results. Meanwhile, Blockstream is expected to make public the source code associated with security fixes introduced in Core Lightning 26.06.7.
