Ethereum ETF Sees $221M Inflows as ETH Sets Sights on Another Breakout
2 hours ago
Ethereum has regained market attention after U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs attracted more than $220 million in fresh capital on Aug. 20. The products recorded over $219 million in net inflows, marking their fourth straight positive trading session. BlackRock’s ETHA led the group once again, pulling in roughly $173 million.
The latest inflow surpassed the $189.15 million recorded on Aug. 19. Consecutive days of strong inflows indicate that institutional appetite for Ethereum remains robust following its recent recovery.
Ethereum ETF Inflows Top $220M as ETH Reclaims $2,400
BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for approximately $173 million of the Aug. 20 inflows. BlackRock’s ETHB followed with about $35.9 million, while Fidelity’s FETH attracted roughly $5.8 million.
Bitwise’s ETHW added around $2.8 million, and VanEck’s ETHV brought in another $1.7 million. Other Ethereum ETF products posted relatively small inflows or little change during the session.
The result stands out because it came immediately after the $189 million inflow recorded a day earlier. That session had already marked Ethereum ETFs’ strongest single-day inflow since October 2025.
August is increasingly looking like a turning point for Ethereum ETFs. The products faced significant pressure during May and June, when combined net outflows surpassed $1 billion.
The trend has now reversed, with Ethereum ETFs recording multiple consecutive sessions of positive flows as ETH recovers levels that appeared increasingly distant during its recent decline.
ETH Price Gets Another Boost
Ethereum’s price performance has added further significance to the ETF activity. ETH surged during the latest rally, moving above $2,300 and briefly approaching $2,400.
The rebound has also improved market sentiment. Ethereum is now testing whether the $2,300 region can establish itself as support instead of serving as another short-lived resistance level. Four consecutive days of ETF inflows suggest institutional investors are increasing exposure even as ETH trades well above its recent lows.
Exchange balances provide another supply-side signal. Santiment data showed the amount of ETH held on exchanges declining from roughly 7.70 million coins on June 2 to 6.54 million on Aug. 18, a drop of about 15% over 11 weeks.
A smaller amount of ETH sitting on exchanges could mean less immediately available supply for selling. Combined with stronger ETF demand, the setup could become increasingly bullish if buying pressure persists.
The key question is whether sustained ETF demand can help Ethereum break decisively above the $2,400 area. A convincing move through that level, alongside continued ETF inflows, could shift attention toward the next major resistance zones.
For now, institutional demand is sending a clearer signal: Wall Street appears to be increasing its Ethereum exposure as ETH stages its recovery.
