XRP Ledger payment activity climbed to 2.6 million in a single day, reaching a four-month peak as network usage began recovering from an extended slowdown.
According to The Crypto Basic, with data aggregated by Cryptorank.io on Aug. 10, 2026, the number of successful daily payments on the XRP Ledger surpassed 2.6 million for the first time in about four months. XRP was trading around $1.01 at the time, with stronger on-chain activity yet to translate into a meaningful price recovery.
The rise comes after a lengthy period of weaker XRP prices and declining activity across the XRP Ledger. The latest figure suggests payment activity is beginning to regain momentum following that prolonged downtrend.
The 2.6 million payments represented the highest daily level recorded in approximately four months. The Crypto Basic report, cited by Cryptorank.io, attributed the increase to renewed network activity despite XRP’s extended period of price weakness.
The latest reading adds to evidence of increased activity across the ledger, although it represents data from a single day. Previous XRP Ledger statistics show that payments make up only part of overall network activity, alongside decentralized exchange transactions and account-related operations.
June Data Highlighted Strong Payment Activity
Separate XRPScan data cited by Yahoo Finance on June 16, 2026, showed the XRP Ledger processing 769,646 transactions during the day. Successful payments accounted for roughly 427,000 of those transactions, representing more than half of the activity recorded in that snapshot.
The network processed an average of 23.49 transactions per second, with ledgers closing approximately every 3.82 seconds. Decentralized exchange offer creation ranked as the second-largest source of activity, while account operations made up another portion of the total.
The June 16 figures followed a stronger session on June 15, when the ledger recorded 900,189 total transactions and 403,422 payments. Both days surpassed 750,000 total transactions, suggesting the network could approach the 1 million daily transaction mark if payment and decentralized exchange activity continues to increase.
Ripple Expands Institutional Infrastructure
Beyond the XRP token and ledger, Ripple continues to develop its institutional financial infrastructure. Yahoo Finance reported that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expects the company to reach a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate by the end of 2026, excluding XRP held on its balance sheet.
The projection follows Ripple’s $1.25 billion acquisition of prime brokerage firm Hidden Road in 2025. According to the report, the deal expanded Ripple’s offerings into credit, clearing and prime brokerage services alongside its existing payments business.
For the XRP Ledger, the latest 2.6 million-payment reading represents a significant increase compared with activity levels recorded during the previous four months.
The June figures also demonstrate that overall XRPL throughput consists of several types of activity, including payments, decentralized exchange transactions and account operations, offering broader context for the network’s recent increase in usage.
