Strategy’s (MSTR) cash reserves have increased to $3.75 billion after the company raised $544.5 million through a stock sale last week.
According to Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, the company’s current cash position is sufficient to cover approximately 2.1 years of preferred stock dividend payments.
The funds were generated through the sale of more than 5.4 million shares of common stock, according to an SEC filing released Monday morning.
Strategy allocated a small portion of the proceeds, about $25 million, toward repurchasing 288,930 shares of its high-yielding preferred stock, STRC.
The company did not make any changes to its bitcoin holdings, which remain at 843,775 BTC.
Shares of MSTR and its preferred stock STRC were both trading around 2.5% higher in pre-market activity as bitcoin climbed toward $65,000 over the weekend.
