Grayscale Launches DOGE and XRP ETFs on NYSE Arca Monday
Grayscale is launching two new crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on NYSE Arca this Monday, giving U.S. investors regulated, easy access to Dogecoin (DOGE) and XRP for the first time in public markets.
The Grayscale Dogecoin Trust ETF (GDOG) and Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP) are spot ETPs, directly holding the respective cryptocurrencies. Dogecoin, once considered a joke coin, has grown into one of the most actively traded digital assets.
The GXRP debut coincides with the XRP Ledger (XRPL) nearing its 14th anniversary. The XRPL, built for cross-border payments, has processed over four billion transactions since its launch.
Prior to going public, both GDOG and GXRP were offered as private placements. Their listing expands Grayscale’s growing suite of crypto investment products, which now exceeds 40 offerings.
Grayscale’s launches follow a broader trend in altcoin ETFs. Franklin Templeton is expected to unveil its own Dogecoin ETF next week, while Bitwise’s XRP ETF went live earlier this week. Bitwise’s Solana ETF (BSOL), which launched earlier this year, has already attracted more than $400 million in inflows, highlighting growing institutional interest in non-Bitcoin crypto assets.
