Eric Trump’s Call for Bitcoin Investment Sends BTC Price Near $98K
Bitcoin (BTC) spiked above $98,000 early Thursday after Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, publicly urged the family’s crypto platform to invest in bitcoin.
“It feels like a great time to enter BTC, @worldlibertyfi,” Eric Trump tweeted at 1:41 UTC. The tweet triggered a sharp price movement, pushing BTC from $96,900 to $97,830, with CME micro futures breaking the $98,000 mark, according to data from TradingView.
Earlier in the week, David Sacks, a key advisor to the Trump administration, discussed the potential for a strategic bitcoin reserve, though investors were left disappointed by the lack of immediate action on the matter.
