Ondo Finance Introduces Onchain Market for Stocks, Bonds, and ETFs
Ondo Finance, a key player in the tokenized real-world asset (RWA) sector, has announced the launch of Ondo Global Markets (Ondo GM), a platform aimed at bringing traditional financial assets onto blockchain rails.
The initiative will offer onchain access to stocks, bonds, and ETFs, though specific details on the assets available are yet to be disclosed. With a market cap exceeding $600 million, Ondo is already the third-largest tokenized Treasury issuer, according to rwa.xyz.
Ondo GM seeks to address inefficiencies in legacy markets, including high fees, limited accessibility, and platform fragmentation, which prevent millions from participating in capital markets.
“We believe blockchain can modernize financial markets by enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accessibility,” Ondo stated on X.
Leveraging a stablecoin-like structure, Ondo GM will issue freely transferable tokens linked to traditional assets while ensuring compliance through regulated access controls.
Ondo’s inaugural summit is scheduled for Feb. 6 in New York, with significant announcements expected in the days leading up to the event.
