Ethereum May Climb to $13,000 by Q4, Analyst Suggests, Setting $8,000 as Base Case

Ethereum Eyes $13K in Q4 as SharpLink Adds $295M to Treasury Holdings

A prominent crypto analyst has laid out an ambitious roadmap for Ethereum, projecting the asset could climb to $13,000 by the fourth quarter, while institutional demand continues to accelerate.

The pseudonymous analyst “Wolf” shared a technical outlook on X suggesting ETH is set for significant upside. His base case sees Ethereum reaching $8,000, while a more bullish scenario places the fourth-quarter target closer to $13,000. Wolf also warned of a possible 20–25% correction following a breakout — which he described as a “final shakeout” before a sustained long-term rally.

The bullish momentum is being supported by corporate accumulation. On-chain data from Lookonchain shows SharpLink Gaming (SBET) added 77,210 ETH worth approximately $295 million to its treasury. The firm now holds 438,017 ETH, or around $1.69 billion, making it the largest corporate holder of ether among public companies.

The strategic allocation follows the company’s appointment of former BlackRock executive Joseph Chalom as co-CEO and comes days after SharpLink reported 567 ETH in staking rewards since it began accumulating in June.

Elsewhere, sentiment around ETH is shifting. Chris Burniske, partner at Placeholder Ventures, noted ETH’s resurgence in popularity, writing: “ETH went from most hated coin to darling of CT in ~5 weeks.” ETH has surged 73% since June 23, outperforming most major digital assets.

Ethereum is currently trading at $3,884, up 2% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinDesk data.

Technical Indicators Point to Further Upside

  • ETH rose from $3,771.30 to $3,888.72 between July 27 and July 28, gaining 3.11% with a 4.91% intraday range.
  • The token cleared major resistance at $3,837–$3,850, establishing a strong support base and paving the way for a potential move toward $3,950–$4,000.
  • A spike from $3,876 to $3,898 at 08:05 UTC came on high volume, signaling institutional buying at breakout levels.
